The Gathering

King's Point Pottery Craft Gallery and Studio

In operation since 1992, King's Point Pottery produces two distinguished lines of pottery.  "Waves and Whales" is an award winning, blue and white functional stoneware line.  It features decorative motifs that celebrate the natural splendor outside the window of Linda and David's rural studio.  The other is "Firescapes" a sumptuous line of one of a kind salt/soda plates and vessels that have been showcased in exhibitions in The Rooms Provincial Art Gallery, NL and as far abroad at the prestigious Cheongju International Craft Biennale in South Korea

Norton's Cove Studio Inc

Norton's Cove Studio offers a behind-the-scenes look at the art of non-toxic printmaking by Janet Davis. Watch as Janet draws, etches, inks, and prints copper plates. Janet also uses relief printmaking and textile based techniques such as hand embroidery, quilting, and mat hooking. The setting itself is an authentic c.1890 general store. Janet always welcomes guests, and is happy to show off the historic J. Kean Shop to those with an interest in our built heritage.

Outport Museum & Tea Room

Built in the early 1940s, this two-story house is an authentic example of port living. Filled with décor of that time period, one can get a sense of what outport life was like. View the replica of a 16th century Basque fishing vessel, the Chaloupe is an integral part of our French heritage. The Beaches Heritage Centre

Our state of the art facility was opened in June, 2001, under the stewardship of the Eastport Peninsula Heritage Society; it is a historic building that engenders great sentiment for many residents of our community. Constructed in the early 20th century, the property has originally served as a school for many years. When the school closed in 1968, the property evolved as the key venue for cultural arts and entertainment shows, from summer drama festivals to a privately operated movie theatre.
